JOB TITLE: Case Manager I – Child Welfare and Attendance
WORK YEAR: Full-time/ 12 Months/ 220 Days (prorated based on date of hire)/7.5 hours per day
START DATE: As soon as possible after the interviews
SALARY: Salary Schedule 5, Range 19, $19.36 to $28.60 per hour. Placement on salary schedule is dependent upon experience.

Under supervision of the Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) Program Coordinator, the Case Manager I will work with homeless youth, foster youth, truant youth and families, schools/districts, shelters, and service providers to ensure that youth have opportunities for educational success. The Case Manager I – Child Welfare and Attendance will work with the CWA Program Coordinator staff to coordinate case plans with case managers from other agencies and schools, as well as to conduct assessments, develop case plans, provide resources and referrals, and offer on-going case oversight throughout the school year. The Case Manager I will assist with the coordination of related services and staff, including outreach, community support, tutors, youth workers, training, and development of new program services.
Child Welfare and Attendance provides countywide services for truant, homeless youth and foster youth to remove barriers and encourage educational success.
