What to Do After Your Chico Job Interview

With the job interview in the rearview mirror, it is time to navigate the post-interview process. When you finish interviewing for jobs in Chico, there is still some work left to do. Regardless of how well your interview performance was, taking these steps will give you a boost and help you stand out from the competition.

1. Don’t be afraid to ask what the next step is: go ahead and ask what the next step in the process is once the interview is concluded. That way, you will know what to expect and when the appropriate time for a follow up email or phone call would be.

2. Write a thank you letter: get to work on this as soon as you get home. In your letter, reiterate your interest in the position, and thank the interviewer for considering you for the position. If you were interviewed by several different people, they should all receive thank you letters as well. Send them by email so they receive it as soon as possible.

3. Send a follow up email: if you were told that you would hear back from the company in a week, then feel free to fire off an email a week later if the response hasn’t come in yet. This will show you paid attention during the interview.
