Pay range: $17.65/hr - $19.97/hr - $22.58/hr *Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $19.97/hr, based on applicable experience POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Monitor may give patient care in the Enloe Medical Center Nursing Units and Emergency Department. He/she provides psychological supportive services, performs safety checks and assists the patients with activities of daily living. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Monitor#provides a safety function for the nurse by providing therapeutic care to the confused, combative or mentally ill patient.# The Patient Monitor collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the plan of care.# The Patient Monitor supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center. The Patient Monitor# may need to administer CPR to patients in an emergency situation. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Desired: Previous hospital experience LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: Current CPR certification SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Must demonstrate communication skills and sensitivity for the hospitalized patient and family including those with psychological needs. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.# Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. PATIENTS SERVED: This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Pediatrics, adult and geriatric.#
