**Objective:** To provide CordeValle quality service and product to all guests. Perform all aspects of function space set-up and maintenance.
**Job Functions:**
Meet and exceed guest and staff expectations by providingCordeValle quality service and product.
* Provide value-added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Communicate effectively with guests, staff and supervisors.
* Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting staff as needed
* Handle difficult situations effectively
* Show willingness to serve and assist guests an fellow staff members at all times
**Menu**
* Must have basic knowledge of banquet menus and beverage lists
**Outlet Responsibilities**
* Responsible for set up of function space as indicated on the BEO
* Responsible for breakdown of the function space
* Conduct final inspection to ensure function space is properly set
* Responsible for collection, count and drop off of clean and soiled linens
* Provide safe environment for guests and staff by recognizing any possible hazards
* Keep back storage and electrical room clean and free of clutter
**Food and Beverage Service**
* Assist Captains, Servers and Bartenders upon request
* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
* Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
* Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the property.
* Maintain complete knowledge Rosewood Standards and Responsibilities as well as CordeValle policies and Procedures.
* Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
* Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.
* Complete opening side duties as assigned.
* Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
**Qualifications:**
Experience:
- Minimum one years experience in Banquets for a luxury or ultra luxury Hotel or Resort
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guests service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Technical Skills: Ability to understand guests' service needs; ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time; ability to exert physical effort in transporting food, beverages & banquet set up supplies; ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work are
