Overview:Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons in order to transport materials to and from specified destinations.Sign on Bonus - $2000Primary Responsibilities:* Drive truck into position to load at filing rack.* Drives truck to customer premises.* Open valves or starts pumps tofill tank. Read gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.* Connects hose to tank and opens valves. Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.* Attaches ground wire to truck.* Accomplish necessary task stated in NSB Contract for fuel division.* Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.* Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.* Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.* Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.* Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.* Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.Education and/or Experience:* 1 to 3 years of fuel truck experience preferred.* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.* Must have previous experience or training operating this type of equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Applicant must demonstrate knowledge of the equipment around ground personnel.* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.* Ability to read, comprehends, and composes simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:* Valid Driver's License with CDL Certification.* Hazmat w/tanker endorsement.Security Clearance:N/APhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
