Job Summary:Initiate and manage sales and marketing activities of an Agricultural Contract Research Organization with a nationwide science program. Coordinate with district managers to support business growth and meet annual revenue objectives. Build relationships with existing and prospective clients, identify business opportunities for scientific services, coordinate with finance and accounting staff on costing and project pricing, and represent the company at scientific and professional events.?Duties/Responsibilities:Attract new clients by innovating and managing the sales processIdentify new research opportunities for professional servicesCommunicate with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problemsCreate positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clientsTranslate proposals into research contractsInvestigate and manage pricing of existing and new professional scientific servicesManage virtual and in-person sales meetingsCollaborate with sales and research team to ensure company revenues and profit goals are metStrong understanding of company products and services and business position in the industry20% to 30% of work schedule required travel as needed?Skills/Abilities:Understanding of agricultural scientific R&D services marketExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite?Education, Experience, and Skills:Master?s or PhD degree in agricultural sciences or business10 yrs experience in both project management and sales of agricultural products or servicesExperience with creating research proposals for R&D of agricultural products and servicesExperience with sales directed software for client management and online business inquiries?
