PT Safety Support Associate - Pathway Home MacArthur Park - (JR 5027)

Join us as a PT Safety Support Associate at Pathway Home MacArthur Park. This role is part-time and involves ensuring the safety and security of our interim housing site, supporting residents and staff, and maintaining a safe environment.

About the Role

The Safety Support Associate proactively monitors the site, engages with participants to promote safety, and responds to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies. You will also assist in developing safety protocols and documentation, coordinate with security agencies, and participate in team meetings to improve safety operations.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor the housing site for safety concerns and engage with participants to promote a safe environment.
2. Coordinate with case management and security teams to ensure safety protocols are followed.
3. Conduct regular site rounds and document any discrepancies or concerns.
4. Assist in developing safety procedures and reports.
5. Respond to crisis situations using non-violent intervention techniques.
6. Participate in safety meetings and provide feedback for improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations or in security/de-escalation roles is preferred.
• Strong observational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle crisis situations professionally and effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• All experience and education levels are welcome.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
• Legal eligibility to work in California and pass background checks.
