As a Team Leader with Lundberg you will be responsible for leading your shift (3rd shift) to meet production goals using the resources provided including staff, equipment, tools, time, raw materials, and packaging. Success will include keeping everyone safe, meeting delivery requirements, and continuously improving cost per case and quality. Additional key results includes ongoing growth of the team's capability, capacity, and competency. Key cross functional interactions occur with Order Fulfillment, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Safety, Innovation, and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Develop and document processes while contributing to new method development.
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, equipment, and production efficiency.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of equipment downtimes and oversee proper repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain sanitation standards for all operating and food contact surfaces.
  • Manage production, inspection, cleaning, and sanitation records.
  • Accurately record and report production data, raw material usage, and inventory using MS Dynamics.
  • Communicate daily with staff and management regarding production schedules and product needs.
  • Oversee inventory levels to meet outstanding orders and ensure allergen segregation.
  • Train and coach personnel on standard operating procedures and key performance expectations.
  • Address and resolve team conflicts and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
Requirements
  • Prior food production experience with experience related to leadership and supervision.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid CA driver's license or in the state of residence and meet insurability standards of our auto insurance carrier.
  • Excellent motivation, coaching, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to think of creative solutions to short-term issues that allow production to continue at pace without compromising safety and quality.
Preferred
  • Experience leveraging lean, six sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve operational efficiency.
