About the role:

We are seeking a Product Sales Representative to support generating and securing sales within specific product lines to increase profitability. This role provides pre- and post-sales technical and product knowledge support to internal sales managers, distributors and the customer base and promotes sales throughout assigned regions. Responsibilities include ensuring speed to market for new software updates, ease of use for new updates, reliability of software and hardware, and providing technical support to end users. The candidate will assist in the preparation of technical proposals and quotations, offer training and product demonstrations, and attend customer meetings to ensure successful product adoption. The ideal candidate will have automotive experience in either a technical capacity or sales capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales activities coordinated by the Senior Regional Sales Manager and VP of Sales
  • Develop training programs for Sales Representatives and Distributor sales personnel to communicate technical content and product benefits
  • Organize road shows and train field sales staff using demonstrations
  • Collect market information on product service and competition and share with the product manager
  • Provide technical support to agents and distributors in designated territories
  • Capture customer insights on trends, pricing, and programs; relay to Marketing and Sales
  • Assist sales management with focused product presentations
  • Develop and maintain relationships and selling opportunities within territories
  • Regular customer visits to optimize product usage
  • Act as liaison between customers, Customer Service, and Technical Support
  • Provide monthly reports on calls, visits, and customer issues
  • Participate in meetings, training, conferences, and trade shows as required
  • Assist in developing accurate business growth forecasts and budgets
  • Identify potential customer targets and plan outreach strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a technical field
  • 5+ years' experience in a Sales or Marketing Product training role
  • Experience working with distributors
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge market requirements with internal technical expertise
