Start Date: Open Until Filled. This part-time position requires 48-55 hours worked per pay period. This temporary position is subject to reduced hours in the future. Qualifications: High School Diploma of Graduation or equivalent required. Satisfactory completion of a surgical assistant, or military or other equivalent experience in OR Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Minimum of 1 year experience as a surgical assistant or equivalent in an acute hospital Must be able to perform complex techniques and procedures under general supervision Must be able to precept other surgical assistants Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Duties & Responsibilities: Job Summary The Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of all patients under his/her care.
