Congress is making decisions that will affect everyone's ability to meet their basic needs. Their policy choices shape the health, nutrition, and economic well-being of millions of families in the U.S. and globally.

RESULTS is a nonpartisan movement of committed advocates. We keep Congress accountable to us, the people. Our 45-year history has shown that our voices, raised together, can shape meaningful change. Those among us experiencing poverty guide our advocacy issues with the wisdom of lived experience. Every action we take brings us closer to a world where everyone can thrive.

What You'll Advocate For

As a RESULTS advocate, you'll use your voice to:

• Protect U.S. health and nutrition programs like SNAP and Medicaid
• Improve tax policies that support people with low incomes, including the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit
• Strengthen U.S. support for global health and education programs, including child nutrition, access to vaccines, maternal and child health, access to education, and the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria

Start Your Advocacy Journey

We're now recruiting for our next New Advocate Training and Action Program which will run from December 2025-March 2026. Sign up here.

What to Expect:

• December 2025: Training & Action Kick-Off
  • Learn more about RESULTS and our opportunities to make a difference in 2026. Set your own goals for what you want to accomplish as an advocate in the new year.
• January 2026: New Advocate Orientation
  • Learn more about RESULTS, get a deep dive into our issues, and start learning the foundations of advocacy.
• February-March 2026: New Advocate Incubator
  • Attend three training and action meetings where you will:
    • Learn to speak powerfully about solutions to poverty
    • Build your skills and confidence in speaking to Congress, writing powerful media, and mobilizing your community
    • Take meaningful actions as part of our national campaigns

Once you complete the incubator, you'll have the opportunity to join your local RESULTS group and take your advocacy to the next level.

During the fall of 2025, we'll provide you with updates, action opportunities, and invitations to local and national advocacy events.
