Overview

COBOL Vantage Programmer position for Nava Software Solutions. Location: Remote. Duration: Long-term contract.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Vantage / WMA
• 4+ years with Cobol, JCL, Db2
• Experience with Vantage One / WMA Annuities
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferred in business administration, engineering, information systems or related field; experience in the technology industry

Responsibilities

• Experience working UL/ TRAD/ Annuities WM A (Wealth Management Advisor, Vantage-One large Life and Annuity Insurance Policy Administrative Systems)
• Modifications of Annuities; essential job functions
• 5+ years of Vantage / WMA experience; 5+ years with Cobol, JCL, Db2
• Provide input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develop business specifications to support these modifications
• Assist in coordinating business analyst tasks on IT projects and provide support to team members
• Assist in analyzing testing results in all phases
• Participate in technical reviews and inspections to ensure the intent of change is carried out throughout the project
• Ability to build out a plan from scratch using PW tables within Product Wizard
• Understanding of indexed products, system migrations, and conversions
• Consult in all phases of business process implementations from scope analysis to post-implementation evaluation using Agile and Waterfall approaches
• Assist with change management, user training, and technical support for project teams
• Participate in defining, documenting, and analyzing customer requirements, business processes and procedures
• Identify, research, and engage others in researching and resolving complex customer and product implementation problems
• Assist with developing methods and procedures to determine whether current business goals meet organizational needs
• Experience with remote work and independent problem solving
