GENERAL PURPOSE: The main goals of this program are to support Hispanic Low Income (HLI) and first generation students as they matriculate through the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Working under the direction of the Director, the Professional Development and Transfer Coordinator helps coordinate mentoring, professional development, undergraduate research, and transfer activities of the CSC2+ program within the College of Agriculture. The Coordinator also works closely with the Professional Development and Transfer Coordinators from the Colleges of Natural Sciences and College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management (ECC).
The CSC2+ project is funded by the US Dept of Education, Hispanic-Serving Institutions Division.
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current Chico State Enterprises employee who was conditionally offered the position.
