Job Title: Procurement Specialist / Expeditor Remote

Type: 13-month Contract

Compensation: $32 $35 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Remote

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm (possible variance) / Mon.-Fri.

Procurement/Expeditor
Performs expediting functions for allphases of a small to medium-size project (or for a specific segment of a larger project) to ensure timely receipt of equipment, materials, and/or related engineering data (e.g. drawings, etc.). Advises appropriate project personnel of delivery status.

Responsibilities

• Contacts vendors, contractors, and/or subcontractors to coordinate and expedite the timely receipt of equipment, materials, or related engineering data to meet schedule requirements of project.
• Assists in the coordination of materials and equipment between one manufacturer/vendor and another to meet timely assembly, fabrication, or installation requirements.
• Follows up with transportation company in an effort to avoid transit delays, and arranges for prompt delivery of equipment and/or materials upon arrival.
• Advises appropriate project personnel regarding completion, transit, and delivery dates, or possible delays.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
