Description:

Warehouse Clerk

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Determines method of shipment.

Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.

Inserts items into containers.

Secures packages with nails, binding straps, or tape.

Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Routes items to departments.

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Maintains inventory of shipping material and supplies.

Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping receiving platform to storage or work area.

Responsible for maintaining stock of Team Dining Room (T.D.R.) on a daily basis.

Coordinates and processes all return-to-vendor requests.

Processes all claims for damaged foods received.

Orders and purchases items for the Casino.

Counts month end inventory.

Inputs received and distributed inventory data into computerized inventory system.

Issues items from warehouse to other casino departments per standing order or new request.

Produces, maintains, and distributes warehouse inventory transfer documentation to other casino departments with copies to Accounting.

Computer literate in appropriate software.

Must maintain warehouse.

Must be available nights and weekends.

Prioritize jobs that have been requested by other departments.

Other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for compliance with the Casino's internal control policy and procedure as it relates to the position's stated job description. Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.

Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and staff. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Effective interpersonal skills required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Team Member must complete food safe program provided by the Casino. Team Member must get certified to drive a forklift.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration needed to perform assigned duties in highly disruptive conditions. Must be detail orientated and possess organizational skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. The casino floor is a smoking environment, and the Employee must be able to tolerate tobacco smoke. The shipping and receiving area is exposed to the weather and may be hot at times or very cold.
