Your New Role...

Production Finance Accountants are responsible for working with Finance Execs to set up each show from the ground up. Establish company, banking, request of digital accounting systems, and assign authorized signers. They are front lines with all banking setups and management. Also responsible for process funding needs during course of a show. Ensure freelance accountants' compliance with internal controls, GL reconciliations, production funding, corporate reporting, and overseeing guild and union audits.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Show Set Up
  • Setting up accounting systems and coding structures specific to each show.
  • Coordinating with production teams to ensure all financial processes are in place before filming begins.
  • Banking
  • Opening and maintaining production bank accounts.
  • Managing cash flow, including funding requests and transfers.
  • General Reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or outstanding items.
  • Preparing monthly or quarterly reconciliation reports for management review.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Support show accountants
  • Providing guidance on company policies, accounting procedures, and system usage.
  • Assisting with complex transactions or problem-solving as needed.
  • Support VP and Directors of Production Finance
  • Preparing financial analysis, reports, and presentations as requested.
  • Assisting with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for multiple productions.
  • Coordinating the flow of information between production teams and finance leadership.
  • Supporting special projects or initiatives led by the VP or Directors.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial data for executive decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience...
  • At least 2 years production or accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proficient with C&C and EP accounting software and other industry standard digital systems
  • Ability to adapt to a digital workspace and train accountants on digital systems and process.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under deadlines and time constraints.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
  • Familiarity with production accounting software (e.g., PSL, Smart Accounting, Eclipse) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $81,760.00 - $151,840.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
