Job Title: Resident Assistant

Position Summary

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing direct care and supervision to residents while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life in a safe and supportive environment. This position works closely with the care team to meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide support with meals, hydration, and feeding assistance as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or mood to the appropriate staff.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
• Support residents in social and recreational activities.
• Follow all care plans, policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity at all times.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving or senior living experience preferred (but not required).
• Ability to work with residents who have dementia or cognitive impairments.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift or assist residents as required by the position.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

• Requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
