Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including Sennebogen material handlers, Albach wood processors, skid steers, mini excavators, wood grinders, and other related machinery (Equipment operated may vary by project and will be assigned based on the operator's experience, skill level, and demonstrated proficiency.)
• Perform tree removal using Sennebogen equipment (grapple saw / material handler operations)
• Conduct basic wood management using skid steers and various attachments (grapples, buckets, etc.)
• Handle, sort, process, and load logs, brush, and timber
• Perform land clearing, storm cleanup, and vegetation management tasks
• Load trucks and stage materials for transport or grinding
• Conduct daily equipment inspections including fueling, lubrication, and routine maintenance checks
• Maintain safe operating zones and communicate effectively with ground crew members
• Adapt to changing terrain, weather conditions, and job site requirements
• Assist with general site tasks when equipment operation is not required
• Local and regional travel to job sites

• Support crew members with site preparation and cleanup as needed
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and inspection reports
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing safety training and team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steers and material-handling machinery
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance checks
• Ability to work safely outdoors in all weather and on uneven or rough terrain
• Safety-first mindset, strong communication skills, and team-oriented attitude
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and supporting ground operations for extended periods
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, situational awareness, and focus in dynamic and potentially hazardous environments

• Experience with forestry or land-clearing equipment
• Experience with grapple operating, log handling, or wood processing
• Experience with mechanical tree-removal equipment
