Job Title: IT Strategy Consultant (Supplier Manager)
Work Location: Remote
Duration of Assignment: 4+ Months
Pay Rate Range: $60.00/hr to $75.00/hr on W2
Job Description:
The Professional Services Supplier Manager manages professional services contracts to support Digital Nexus. The role oversees the full contract lifecycle, monitors supplier performance, drives governance to reduce risk and maximize value, and conducts vendor research. Success requires strong collaboration, communication, analytical skills, contract expertise, and supplier relationship management experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Demand Management
• Manage intake and processing of supplier requests.
• Coordinate with SSP, TPRM, and Digital Nexus on engagement needs.
• Serve as primary contact for demand related inquiries.
2. Contract Analysis & Compliance
• Review contracts for compliance, risk, and alignment with standards.
• Maintain accurate contract records throughout the lifecycle.
• Analyze contract data for trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide insights to support governance and performance reviews.
3. Supplier Performance & Governance
• Monitor adherence to SLAs and contractual commitments.
• Support governance reviews and performance assessments.
• Conduct risk assessments and data analysis to support mitigation plans.
4. Data Analytics & Reporting
• Present findings clearly for decision-making.
• Produce reports and executive briefings.
• Maintain KPI data for quality reviews.
• Standardize reporting templates.
5. Vendor Research & Analysis
• Conduct vendor research using sources such as Gartner, Forrester, and IDC.
• Assess offerings, market trends, competition, and customer insights.
• Deliver executive-level summaries.
6. Process Documentation
• Create and maintain FAQs, info sheets, and toolkits.
• Keep service and process documentation accurate and current.
• Update materials to reflect new methodologies, industry changes, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
7. AI Integration & Support
• Use AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Implement AI-driven analysis and insights.
• Train team members on AI tool used.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with procurement, finance, legal, and other teams.
• Develop presentations, reports, and communication materials.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings and track action items.
• Serve as the main contact for support-related inquiries.
9. Process Improvement
• Apply best practices aligned with organizational and industry standards.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
• Execute initiatives that enhance operations and service delivery.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field.
• Experience with procurement processes, vendor evaluation products and professional services contracts is required
• 5-7 years of experience in supplier or vendor management.
• Proficiency with analyst research tools and AI-enabled analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Teams, Visio, PowerBI, and AI tools (e.g., Copilot, agents).
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Customer centric problem-solving approach.
• Positive, adaptable, self starter; able to travel <10% domestically.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM), AI technologies, or contract/procurement management (CPCM, CIPS).
