Job Title: IT Project Manager
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Hybrid role - 2 to 3 days/week onsite


Note: This is a high visibility project, requiring nights and weekend work to complete the data center migration effort. The individual must be highly technical, have a take charge/ get it done attitude. Knowledge of Service Now/SPM is desired.

Summary:

  • Oversees the delivery of Technology driven projects by managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring solutions align with functional requirements and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Translate functional requirements into actionable plans and coordinate with IT, operations, or other departments. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executives.
  • Ensure technical requirements are met through collaboration with subject matter experts and business analysts.
  • Oversee testing, training, and change management activities related to project rollout.

Skills:
  • Proven experience managing functional or technical projects. Strong understanding of processes, workflows, and functional system requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Service Now/SPM, and Jira.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • The individual will need to hit the ground running, and will inherit a project called "Workload Mobility"- Providing an individual application and its defined direct dependencies (other applications and any shared technology services like databases, websphere, mq) collectively called a Recovery Group to conduct planned migration from one data center to another data center (currently NJC / WFC).
  • The Recovery Groups goes thru planned migration validation process and get certified over a weekend - Saturday.
  • This will allow Certified Workload Mobility applications as a Recovery Group collection to use Alternate Data Center actively.
