Acting as the face of Finance during partner onboarding, this leader will guide executive teams through financial expectations, systems alignment, and integration milestones across the first 30-60-90 days and beyond. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting and systems background, executive presence, and demonstrated experience integrating acquired entities within a growth-focused or private-equity-backed environment.

This role blends strategic leadership with operational execution, building scalable integration frameworks while driving hands-on results during periods of rapid expansion.

This role will be expected to travel 25-50%.

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Leadership and Assessment

delivering a partner-first onboarding experience that balances

Establish credibility with partner executives by translating financial

requirements, timelines, and deliverables into clear, actionable guidance.

Lead structured 30-60-90 day financial onboarding plans that drive long-

term success within the Shield ecosystem.

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, IT, and Executive teams to
provide visibility into integration progress, risks, and overall onboarding
health.

Financial Operations & Systems Alignment

Drive integration into Shield TP's financial infrastructure, including
accounting processes, reporting structures, and system workflows.

Ensure data integrity, chart of accounts alignment, and reporting readiness
in collaboration with Accounting, IT, and Operations.

Evaluate legacy workflows and implement scalable standardization
strategies with minimal business disruption

M&A Integration & Transition Management

Collaborate with executive leadership on post-close financial integration
strategy and ensure seamless transition from diligence through operational
execution.

Develop repeatable integration playbooks and proactively identify and
mitigate financial, operational, and control risks.

Assess acquired partners' financial health, accounting capabilities, US GAAP
compliance, and internal controls, overseeing close processes and driving
timely reporting and compliance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent

credentials preferred.

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, with

deep expertise in full-cycle accounting, U.S. GAAP, and multi-entity financial

reporting.

Proven success leading post-acquisition integrations and complex multi-
entity transitions in high-growth, acquisition-driven, or PE-backed
environments.

Demonstrated ability to design and execute structured integration
roadmaps, ensuring continuity from diligence through operational
execution.

Strong financial systems leadership experience, including ERP integrations,
chart of accounts alignment, reporting infrastructure, and scalable process
standardization.

Advanced analytical and Excel capabilities with strong financial risk
identification, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to
build trust quickly with partner executives, cross-functional leaders, and
offshore teams.

Highly accountable and adaptable leader who operates strategically while
remaining hands-on in fast-paced, high-frequency M&A environments.

Experience supporting MSPs, technology-enabled services organizations, or
roll-up acquisition models.

Background in PE-backed portfolio companies with high transaction volume.

Familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms, financial reporting tools, and PSA
systems common within MSP environments.

Experience building scalable integration playbooks, finance transformation
initiatives, or shared service models.
