• Current Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement preferred
• Acceptable driving records (clean) required
• Motor Carrier Safety Administration (MCSA) 5875 and MCSA 5876 required
• Current American Heart Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Ability to operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work in a team setting. Demonstrates ability to recognize client's needs and respond above client's expectations
• This job may require the following level of experience in use of computers and/or standard business machines: Basic knowledge of word processing, data base and department specific computer programs
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common street signs, maps and directions

Open Until Filled. This part-time position requires 48-55 hours worked per pay period. This temporary position is subject to reduced hours or a change in status in the future.

Duties &
Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Driver provides transportation services to people with special needs, Oroville Hospital staff and physicians. Clients include persons who are confined to wheelchairs, individuals who may need assistance walking, whose medical treatments cause weakness or dizziness as well as persons who require supervision due to mental or emotional disabilities.

Duties

• Transports sick, injured or convalescent persons via wheelchair or gurney
• Provides exceptional personal service to clients
• Transports Oroville Hospital staff, from parking area to work area
• Transports Physicians to and from surrounding areas
• Provides personal assistance or care, to clients and coworkers
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and upkeep
• Performs other duties as assigned
• On-Call coverage will be required

Lifting Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform work, which involves the frequent lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing of 100 pounds with occasional heavier lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (with help). Employees in this position will require the mobility to stand, climb, stoop, reach and bend. Persons in this position require the mobility of arms to reach and dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate objects of heavy weight at high pressure. Persons in this position require vision (which may be corrected) to reach the small print.
