Description:

The LVN Patient Services Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care coordination within healthcare facilities across the United States. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers to optimize the patient experience. The coordinator acts as a liaison to ensure that patient needs are met promptly and efficiently, contributing to improved health outcomes and patient satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with clinical tasks under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Ultimately, the LVN Patient Services Coordinator supports the healthcare team by combining clinical knowledge with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to deliver high-quality patient services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the United States.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proven experience in a patient-facing healthcare role, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Additional certifications in patient coordination or healthcare administration.
  • Bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
  • Prior experience working in specialty clinics or multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to ensure timely access to care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services and procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting patient information.
  • Maintain and update accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth patient flow and resolve any issues related to patient care coordination.
