NEMC Purchasing Coordinator Job Description (Full-Time, Remote)
The National Educational Music Company (NEMC) is growing, and we're excited to add a Purchasing Coordinator to our team! This will be a full-time, remote position reporting to the MerchandisingDirector. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for executing on the serialized and non-serialized inventory procurement plan, coordinating and entering POs and completing other merchandising related duties as assigned from time to time. Compensation for this role will be in the range of $48,000-58,000 per year. NEMC is proud to be a part of Ensemble Performing Arts.
What You'll Do
- Receive and process purchase order requisitions from the field locations
- Verify pricing and terms.
- Submit completed POs to corresponding vendors.
- Accumulate and process shipment verifications from field locations and help resolve discrepancies
- Provide product pricing and availability information to field staff.
- Respond to and research special order requests
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of maintaining an effective field assortment mix and excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to receive advice and training of skilled colleagues
- Previous experience in musical instrument sales or purchasing
- Working knowledge of musical instruments and related products
- Understanding of general purchasing procedures
- Compliance with company attendance standards
- On the job training provided
