ENL Sterile ProcessingShift: Varied, shift length: 8 Hours, days off: variable, hours per pay period: 12.Compensation Range$21.81 - $27.92Position SummaryThe Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for the care and maintenance of reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment by performing decontamination, packaging, sterilization, handling, and storage activities. The SPD Tech selects appropriate cleaning and sterilization methods and maintains accurate documentation of SPD processes. Under the supervision of the Perioperative Charge Nurse and staff nurses, the Tech ensures cleanliness, organization, and transportation of equipment, stocking and outdating of supplies, and cleaning to accomplish room turnover and replenishment of stock in Sterile Processing and surgery areas. The SPD Tech contributes to the goal of service excellence in the peri‑operative suites by assisting in room set‑ups and turnovers, stocking/inventory of assigned areas, performing routine and terminal housekeeping duties, orienting and training new employees, assisting with patient care tasks, and performing other duties as assigned.
