QualificationsHigh School Graduate or EquivalentThree years Sunquest Laboratory Information System experience preferredThree years Laboratory assistant or Client Services assistant experience preferredTwo years Supervisor experience preferredDuties & ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: The Client Services Supervisor administers and coordinates a client services program within the framework of the established policies.Maintains contact with established accounts on a regular basis, either by phone or in person as neededStays informed about product lines, new tests, and the perpetual needs of the clientsResearch inquires and/or products for all customersCoordinates patients and specimen flow in the Laboratory Clinic, Patient Service Centers, and Client ServicesEnsure accuracy of requests, receive and process biological samples, and perform designated lab testsMaintain client services and take steps to resolve problemsReports to Administrative Lab Director all unusual and/or non-routine inquiries to ensure client satisfactionCoordinates client services functions with Administrative Lab DirectorCommunicates, implements, and interprets client service policies and procedures with clients, client service personnel, maintains a positive, client/patient focused attitudeInvestigates prolonged client service dissatisfaction for Administrative Lab Director and recommends a course of actionMaintains a working relationship with Lab Billing department and RegistrationTracks send out tests for possible in-house testingPrepares schedules for client servicesAccounts for sick time, hiring, and disciplinary action when neededWorks closely with Laboratory Scientists and fulfills their needs when possibleMaintains a good relationship with Administrative Lab Director, Lab Supervisors, and Phlebotomy SupervisorAbides by Oroville Hospital Human Resource policies with issues concerning laboratory personnelPerforms other duties as assignedOrganizational ExpectationsProvides a positive and professional representation of the organization.Promotes culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention.Maintains hospital standards for a clean and quiet patient environment to maintain a positive patient care experience.Adheres to infection‑control policies and protocols.Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards.Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.Other Info – Lifting RequirementsMust have fine motor coordination, clear speech, normal hearing and good visual acuity with ability to distinguish major colors. Must be able to move readily from one location to another in the hospital and within the lab.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms; and talk to hear. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
