Delivery Assistant

Express Employment is looking for a Full-Time, Delivery Assistant. This is a Temp to Hire position. Location: Chico, Ca Pay: $19/Hour Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9am - 6pm At Express, we care about our Associates that's why we offer 401K along with Health Care Insurance. Job Duties:

• Assemble and prepare furniture for delivery
• Assist the Lead Driver with loading daily deliveries, including covering items with moving blankets and securing loads with straps or ties
• Ensure all packaging is removed, the warehouse is organized, and clear pathways are maintained for customer pickups before leaving the store
• Operate the lift gate as needed upon arrival at the customer's home
• Prepare furniture for delivery by removing and storing straps, folding blankets, and positioning items at the end of the truck for efficient unloading
• Assist the Lead Driver with delivering furniture to the customer's room of choice
• Before departing for the next delivery, fold and store remaining blankets to prepare for the next stop
• During refueling between deliveries, clean truck windows and the cab
• During downtime, wash and maintain the delivery truck inside and out, ensuring the cab and box remain clean and organized

Warehouse Duties:

• Unload freight from vendor carriers
• Verify, organize, and store incoming freight
• Assemble and prepare stock merchandise for display
• Move and reorganize showroom merchandise as needed
• Assist with customer pickups, including wrapping furniture
• Load and unload customer merchandise as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, showroom, restroom, and breakroom as scheduled
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• No experience required but preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Clean Driving Record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work as part of a team or with others
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
