JOB TITLE: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
WORK YEAR: Full time: 7.5 hours per day/11 months/207 days annually (Pro-rated upon hire)
START DATE: August 1, 2020
SALARY: Salary Schedule 5, Range 31 $26.03 – $38.46 per hour, placement dependent on

Under general supervision of a registered occupational therapist (OTR), will serve Butte County and district students by providing occupational therapy and sensory motor integration therapy to IEP goals and objectives.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: [May include, but is not limited to the following.]
1. Responds to request for services in accordance with policies and procedures.
2. Assists OTR with data collection and assessments.
3. Assists OTR with development of treatment goals.
4. Implements intervention under supervision of OTR.
5. Can adapt intervention environment, tools and materials under supervision of OTR.
6. Is part of a collaborative IEP team.
7. Maintains treatment area, equipment and supply inventory as needed.
8. Maintains records and documentation required by work setting and under the supervision of the OTR.
9. Travel to various school sites in Butte County for the provision of therapy services as designated by the supervising occupational therapist.
1. Have a functional knowledge of up-to-date therapy methodologies.
1. Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
2. Experience in providing sensory integration therapy.
3. Experience in a school setting.

The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
